Treat the gate and the loading area as separate checks.

A gate code may let a passenger car enter while leaving a large carrier without turning or loading space. Ask the property manager about delivery hours, visitor registration, vehicle-size restrictions and the location they normally approve for loading. Confirm whether the driver needs advance authorization and who can provide it on the day.

At a high-rise condominium, the service drive or porte-cochère may not be a suitable transport handoff. Send the coordinator the actual access details. If a nearby meeting area is proposed, obtain permission and make sure the owner or representative can move the car between it and the residence.

Coastal destinations need an access fallback.

A beachfront address, barrier-island neighborhood or Florida Keys destination should be identified precisely. Explain the bridge or causeway dependency, narrow local approach and any limited turning space. The carrier determines a usable route; a car-friendly shortcut should not be treated as a truck instruction.

Choose an alternate handoff only after reviewing it with the coordinator. If that point lies on the mainland or outside the community, decide who will drive the vehicle the remaining distance. Check that the alternate remains accessible under the same conditions that might disrupt the original location.

Separate seasonal travel dates from delivery availability.

When moving between seasonal homes, give the earliest day someone can release the car and the first day someone can receive it. Those dates need not match your flight itinerary. An estimated delivery window is difficult to use if the only authorized receiver is still in the air.

A trusted local representative may provide flexibility if agreed beforehand. Give them the contact details, condition photos and inspection responsibilities. Do not assume that a condominium desk, neighbor or rental-property manager will accept the vehicle without an explicit arrangement and a place to keep it.

Create a storm decision plan before there is urgency.

Its FAQ explains that coverage focuses on major roads; combine it with local access information from your community and official local instructions. Check current conditions close to the handoff rather than relying on an old screenshot.

If a severe-weather situation affects either endpoint, contact the transport coordinator to reassess the window and location. Establish who will keep the vehicle if collection is postponed and who will be available after conditions improve. Vehicle shipping should not be the only element of an emergency departure plan.

Prepare the car for a humid, outdoor handoff.

Choose a place and time that permit a clear walk-around when practical. Clean enough of the exterior to make existing marks visible, take photographs and record the vehicle’s condition with the driver. Keep the keys and operating instructions ready so gate delays do not consume the entire available window.

• Remove loose belongings and discuss any remaining items before booking.
• Check convertible tops and windows close properly; disclose defects.
• Explain non-starting condition, leaks or special battery procedures.
• Confirm the gate contact can answer calls and has the expected arrival information.
• Give the receiver the same inspection reference and a backup phone number.

Choose equipment and confirm the full proposal.

Open transport can be considered for a normal daily driver; enclosed transport adds shelter when that is a priority. Neither choice resolves a restricted entrance or guarantees a storm-free schedule. Low clearance, modifications and unusual dimensions require a separate loading discussion.
