How much does open car shipping cost?
Driveline’s preliminary open-transport rate is $2 per estimated mile through 1,000 miles, or $1.80 per mile above 1,000 miles, per vehicle.
The selected rate applies to the entire trip. A 1,000-mile estimate is $2,000; a 1,001-mile estimate is $1,801.80. These are calculation examples, not confirmed route quotes.
Calculator miles use the distance between ZIP-code centers multiplied by 1.2 and rounded to 10 miles. They are a planning estimate, not a measured road route. Final availability, mileage, price and terms are checked before booking.
A sensible fit for everyday vehicles.
If the car is normally driven on public roads and does not need enclosed shelter, open transport may fit your priorities. The trailer is exposed to the weather and road environment. Compare that tradeoff with enclosed transport before deciding.
Vehicle details affect the plan.
A full-size SUV, lifted pickup and compact sedan do not occupy the same space. Let us know about oversized tires, roof racks, modifications and whether the vehicle starts, steers and brakes. Those details help determine suitable equipment.
Access matters at both ends.
A large carrier needs enough room to turn, load and unload. Pickup and delivery are coordinated near your requested addresses where truck access is legal and practical. A nearby open meeting area may be needed for narrow or restricted streets.
