How is enclosed auto transport priced?
For a running, unmodified vehicle, preliminary enclosed rates start at $2.50 per estimated mile below $200,000 in vehicle value. Higher value bands use $3, $4, $5 or $10 per mile.
Enter the vehicle’s approximate value in the calculator. Non-running vehicles use the non-running rate; modified vehicles receive a manual quote. Equipment and coverage are reviewed separately.
Calculator miles use the distance between ZIP-code centers multiplied by 1.2 and rounded to 10 miles. They are a planning estimate, not a measured road route. Final availability, mileage, price and terms are checked before booking.
Protection starts with the right questions.
The vehicle’s value is one part of the conversation. Paintwork, modifications, ground clearance, wheelbase and the front overhang all influence the plan. Share photos and measurements when a standard vehicle description does not tell the whole story.
Plan around low clearance.
Liftgate loading and Race Ramps can be considered where appropriate and available. They are not interchangeable with every ramp or trailer. The loading method and compatibility should be confirmed for the actual car and equipment before pickup.
Shipping a Porsche 911 or another low sports car.
Tell us the exact model, year and configuration, including a GT3 or other variant, front splitter, ride height and any changes from standard specification. Describe the front-axle lift only if the car has one, and provide the manufacturer’s operating instructions. A model badge alone does not establish loading clearance. The carrier needs to confirm deck access, approach angle and suitable equipment for that particular car.
Match expectations to the booking.
Enclosed does not automatically mean a dedicated trailer, a guaranteed delivery time or unlimited insurance. Ask about shared versus dedicated capacity, the pickup window, condition documentation and the assigned carrier’s coverage.
